Gaslight Anthem is an American rock band hailing from New Brunswick, New Jersey. They formed in 2006 after frontman Brian Fallon joined a band called This Charming Man. The band went through several line-up changes that lead to it consisting of Fallon, Mike Volpe, Benny Horowitz and Alex Levine. It was at this point that they renamed themselves Gaslight Anthem and changed their musical direction. Volpe left shortly after, and Alex Rosamilia joined forming the current line-up we know today. In the years since, the group has released five studio albums and toured extensively around the globe. Their fourth album, Handwritten, was released in 2012 and contained their most successful single on the charts, “45”. Gaslight Anthem had been on hiatus since the summer of 2015 until making an announcement in January 2018 that they would be playing a string of shows this summer through North America and Europe to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The 59’ Sound, their second studio album. "The big thing between us was let's just do what's fun,” says Fallon. “So if it's heavy-handed and not that cool, then let's not do it. But we all feel that this is an important record to not only us, but to the people that love it.”
